Now the opening rounds of the Motorsport UK NOVA Tyres          British Hill Climb Championship!

Following issues caused by recent bad weather which have triggered the postponement of the Prescott Speed Hill Climb, the Patterson Electronics Hytera UAC Craigantlet Hill Climb now becomes the opening two rounds of the prestigious Motorsport UK British Hill Climb Championship (BHC).

This year’s event has attracted all the UK’s leading drivers and machinery competing for the British Hill Climb Championship. The BHC, which pre-dates every other British motorsport championship will see F1 style single seaters capable of speeds exceeding 150 mph on the Wharton Straight competing on the hill. Local drivers competing for Round 2 of the ANICC Hill Climb Championship proudly sponsored again by local mobile communications supplier Patterson Electronics Ltd in association with Hytera Communications. We are also delighted to announce the continued support of Belfast City Council.

Ian Culbert, Sales Director of Patterson Electronics, Hytera Communications partner in Northern Ireland, commented “We are delighted to be the title sponsor of Craigantlet again as we recognise the significance of this event in the British and ANICC Hill Climb Championships. We have been working with the UAC on this and other events for many years now and have always been a dedicated supporter of motorsport. Craigantlet is a superb event, exceedingly well organised by a friendly and supportive team of dedicated volunteers and provides a spectacle not seen anywhere else in Northern Ireland. We are extremely proud to be associated with Craigantlet and want to wish everyone involved a safe and enjoyable day on the Hill.”

Clerk of the Course for the event, Wilson Carson, reflected “The hard work of my team has resulted in a marvellous combination of cross channel and local entries consisting of the crème de la crème of British Hill Climbers. Our event programme, a must read, contains several articles from competitors, journalists and volunteers who share their experiences and love of our ‘Hill’. Thanks must go to all who have contributed and made this quality production possible with all proceeds from programme sales going to support our 2024 nominated charities.

Please Note: Spectator access will only be allowed from the bottom of the Hill Climb Course (i.e. Belmont Road (B170) approaching from the Old Holywood Road / Massey Avenue directions).
