Notice to Club members: 30th November 2020

It is with deep regret that we inform you of the passing of Conn Williamson.

He was a true gentleman, devoted member and participated in many of our Club events.

The club extends sincere condolences to Liz and all his family circle at this very difficult time.

Craigantlet Hill Climb on 30th April 2022

Final Instruction No. 1 (Issued 26th April 2022)

Due to the increase in the number of entries scrutiny will be. held on Friday Evening, 29th April 2022, from 18:00 until 21:00 at the car park in Campbell College, Belmont Road, Belfast, BT4 2ND

A limited number of places may be offered for Saturday Morning at the ‘Hill’.

The Crème de La Crème are on the line at Craigantlet!!

The Ulster Automobile Club (UAC) are thrilled to announce that when entries closed, the best drivers and machinery in the UK will be coming to Northern Ireland to ‘battle it out on our Hill’. Six months ago entries filled within 6 minutes of entries going live; this year we took a little longer, somewhere in the region of a half a second, the difference between the winner and 2nd place on this amazing event.

Thompson Triumphs at UAC Autotest

The second round of the McMillan Specialist Cars Northern Ireland Autotest Championship was hosted by the Ulster Automobile Club at Ferguson’s Yard in Stewartstown on Saturday 26th March. It was Manorhamilton’s David Thompson in his Vauxhall Nova who was the man to beat at this event, taking the win by a minor 3.2 seconds from the reigning NI Champion Steven Ferguson.

ANICC McMillan Championship Autotest 2022

Our ANICC McMillan Championship Autotest was held in Norman Ferguson’s Yard in Stewartstown on Saturday. The Club really appreciate the continued support from Norman and his family on this event and a really big thank you to them for the use of their premises.

Massive congratulations to William Creighton and Liam Regan for their superb 17th place finish in their Ford Fiesta Rally 3 on the WRC Rally Sweden.

Simon Brien Residential Craigantlet Hill Climb – regulations are now available on the website.

We are delighted to extend our partnership with Simon Brien Residential for another year.

Craigantlet hosts rounds 3 & 4 of the Avon Tyres British Hill Climb Championship and round 2 of the Millers Oils ANICC Hill Climb Championship.

Look forward to seeing you on the ‘Hill’ on Saturday 30th April 2022.

Fancy a novel Challenge?

2022 is the 100th Anniversary of the Motor Vehicles Races (Northern Ireland) Act.

One of our Club challenges for 2022 is to organise a Pedal car race.

Needless to say we need to find enough people who have pedal cars and are interested in making this challenge happen.

More details will follow but in the meantime have a look in the shed / garage / garden / attic to see if you can find one of these!

Another fantastic result for Future Champion William Creighton.

William Creighton and Liam Regan continue their rise to the top. They finished 19th Overall on the Modern Tyres Ulster Rally this weekend and second in Class RC4 in the newly acquired Ford Fiesta R5. This superb performance has resulted in them winning the Junior British Rally Championship. Congratulations to William, Liam and all those who supported this fantastic result. Keep er lit!!

UAC Charity Quiz to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society – Saturday 11th December 2021

The Ulster Automobile Club are thrilled to announce that our Christmas Charity Quiz, which is raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, will be held in Shandon Park Golf Club on Saturday 11th December 2021 at 7:30 p.m. The quiz will start at 8:00 p.m. and we would love to see as many members and friends as possible to raise much needed funds to support this worthy cause. If you want to join us please let us know by sending an e-mail to [email protected] so we can organise the room layout to comply with Co-vid 19 restrictions. A maximum of 6 quizzers per team, with an entry fee of £3 per team member, will be collected on the night. Christmas jumpers and other seasonal attire will be welcome and a there will be a prize for the best ‘dressed’ team!! Looking forward to seeing you there for a great nights craic, fun and a few quirky challenges long the way!! Come and enjoy.

UAC Future Champion William Creighton wins the inaugural Motorsport News National Rally Driver Award 2021.

Massive congratulations to William Creighton (one of our Future Champions) on winning the Motorsport News National Rally Driver Award for 2021, an excellent result for a very hard working, dedicated and talented young driver who is going places! Thanks to everyone who took supported him in this endeavour, he deserved it.

Next weekend sees him tackling the Ulster Rally and the membership of UAC and many others are fully behind him in his quest to win the Junior British Rally Championship – Go William, Go!!
